Developed as part of a hybrid research the film works as a snapshot inside an old's man life. Presented exclusively through the subjective point of view of the character’s recordings, the film explores an alternative form of narrative, challenging the realistic value of the images in relation to the events. Such aesthetic becomes crucial to the story when the man develops an obsession with a child he encounters in a park. This encounter and the subsequent events, forces the character to revaluate his perspective in life, questioning whether his recordings and behaviour are accurate representations of reality or not.
Based on Paul Schrader’s stylistic analysis in "Transcendental Style in Film: Ozu, Bresson, Dreyer" (1972) and Gilles Deleuze’s ideas of ‘Crystals of Time’ presented in "Cinema II" (1985). The outcome was a piece of work which challenges its aesthetic form to lay the ground for ambiguity, thus exploring different layers of narration and meaning.
